The Kommandant's Girl

This was a wonderful book, I highly recommend it.

It is about Emma, a few short months after her marriage, the Nazi's invade Poland and she is forced into the Jewish Ghetto. Her husband, a resistance fighter, vanishes in the middle of the night and she is left all alone.

She meets Marta who introduces her to the resistance, they smuggle her out of the ghetto and she gets a job working as the assistant to one of the highest ranking Nazi leaders.

She is forced to make decisions and to do things that go against what she believes in all in an effort to obtain information and help the resistance.

Pick it up and read it, it is worth the time spent.
